Production deployment

Registry publication and website rollout order for maintainers.

Production deployment

AgentRig has two separate production mechanisms. Do not treat a merged website PR as an automatic deployment.

1. Publish the registry contract

The agentrig-registry repository publishes its checked-in static mirror from main. Pull requests must pass the canonical contract, production-policy, and deterministic registry checks before merge. The main workflows validate the same checked-in output; they do not rewrite an invalid tree into a valid one.

For Agent Plugins v1, new plugin versions must contain root plugin.json, fixed portable component locations, and AgentRig data under the ai.agentrig extension. Only the explicitly allowlisted immutable legacy snapshots may keep the previous manifest bytes.

2. Deploy the website locally

From the checked-out agentrig-web repository, with the intended production commit and .env.prod selected, run:

pnpm deploy:prod

This script is the production entrypoint. It prepares the linked SDK, validates the AI Gateway and production target, deploys Convex first, then deploys the Cloudflare application with Alchemy, and finally performs the live AI Gateway check.

The ordering is intentional: Cloudflare code may depend on the newly deployed Convex schema and functions. Do not deploy Cloudflare first, and do not replace the chained command with separate ad-hoc production steps.

Release gate

Before running the local website deployment:

  1. Merge only PRs whose required CI checks are green.
  2. Confirm the SDK/CLI, registry, and web branches agree on the same Agent Plugins v1 contract.
  3. Confirm the registry main state validates and exposes only the intended contract version.
  4. Run pnpm deploy:prod once from the reviewed website commit and retain its Convex, Cloudflare, and live-verification output as rollout evidence.
