Plugin schema

The plugin schema is served at:

https://agent-plugins.org/schemas/1.0.0/plugin.schema.json

AgentRig plugin manifests are Agent Plugins 1.0.0 conformant. AgentRig-specific fields live under extensions["ai.agentrig"].

The v1 manifest requires both $schema and name. It validates:

• name as the canonical Agent Plugins machine identifier
• optional Agent Plugins metadata such as version, description, author, license, keywords, homepage, and repository
• reverse-domain extension objects; AgentRig validates its implemented extensions["ai.agentrig"] namespace with the SDK-owned extension schema

Portable components are discovered from skills/*/SKILL.md and root mcp.json; they are not declared as manifest fields.

Use the canonical $schema identifier in every plugin.json; it selects the supported package contract and is not only an editor hint:
